About the Department

Basic Engineering was started during 2012 and functioning since then for the enrichment of the First Year students in various ways.Disseminating knowledge through workshops, conferences and continuing education programs is one of our departments mission. In this direction, considerable efforts have been made to organize such programmes.

The laboratories are well equipped to carry various analysis and conduct advanced practicals in the field of Solid State Physics and Optics

The laboratories are well equipped to carry various analysis and conduct advanced practicals in the field of Acids and Chemicals.

WORKSHOP-PRACTICE

Workshop:Different Shops available in central workshop are as follows:

2. Machine Shop (Turning, Milling, Drilling, Grinding, Cutting etc)

Communication Laboratory

Communication Skills are being taught from first to pre-final year stage. The subject helps engineering students in improving skills at all levels of administration. The subjects are taught with suitable learning aids. The principles of technical and business communication are discussed with the students to enable them to use it intelligently and effectively in their professional lives. Proficiency in English Language is sharpened to help them become good professional communicators. The Department has a computerized language laboratory.

Department Activities

Industrial Visit

In accordance with the academic, our department formulate an industrial visit every semester. This would help the students to enhance their technical skills in collaboration with the industrial requirements. In this semester our students of 120 numbers had visited URALUNGAL LABOUR CONTRACT COOPERATIVE SOCIETY LTD, MADAPPALLY, KERALA on 13th Aug 2016.
